Midnight Mon Night: I should get to bed soon. I need to be at the college between 9 and 9:30 tomorrow morning.
Just a little more Pinterest time.

I can sleep til… Let’s see. I need to be at the college between 9 and 9:30, so I need to leave the apartment by 8:45…wait if I make it to the college by 9:30, then I don’t have to leave the apartment until 9:15. I can shower in 15 minutes and another 15 min to get ready and be out the door. Ok, I need to be up by 8:45.
It finally feels like spring. The sun was out, making my glasses turn black. The air was fresh and clean and the pollen wasn’t even bothering me. The temperature got to 70. It’s 10 pm, the temperature has dropped to 56, but I feel like a stroll. Off we go…

WELCOME TO FRIDAY FICTIONEERS!
Seize the opportunity to free your muse and allow her take you on a magic carpet ride.
Henry David Thoreau said it best.
“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
Write a one hundred word story that has a beginning, middle and end. (No one will be ostracized for going a few words over the count.)
MAKE. EVERY. WORD. COUNT.
My stomach is in knots. It’s been years since I trod the boards. Will I freeze? Will I croak? Wrong part, I’m not Carlotta. The house lights are down. A few finishing touches to my makeup. I need to get backstage. There’s my cue.
“Think of me. Think of me fondly,…” *
A few hours later, I am back in my mind and out of Christine’s. They loved it. We even received a standing ovation. And all my friends said we’d get booed off the stage in this one-horse town. Boy, were they wrong.

Daily Prompt: If I Could Turn Back Time
If you could return to the past to relive a part of your life, either to experience the wonderful bits again, or to do something over, which part of you life would you return to? Why?
I try not to dwell on past mistakes or regrets. There is one decision in my life that I wish I could’ve had a do-over for. I regret buying into the “renting is a waste of money, you need to buy a house”. The main problem with this regret is that I firmly believe that everything up to now has led me to the place where I stand now.
So I vow, to give up that regret, as it gets me no where and I am in a much happier/healthier place in spite of that mistake.
So let’s relive a wonderful bit…
Daily Prompt: She Drives Me Crazy
It makes me crazy when people wear their shoes in my house. What habit/act drives you crazy? How do you prevent it from happening?
“Why?” — one of my biggest pet peeves
I don’t mind questions. I don’t even mind someone asking why something is the way it is.
What I hate is when someone uses “Why?” like a toddler.
This happens in class every term. There is always one student who continues to ask why no matter how many explanations that I give. A student like this can derail a class for the whole term. It is a challenge. A declaration of war. The start to a rebellion.
